Château La Tour Blanche, 1er Cru

Château La Tour Blanche is a 42 hectare estate located in the commune of Bommes, in the heart of the prestigious Sauternes appellation. The estate overlooks the Ciron, a tributary of the Garonne River which provides a unique micro climate conducive to the development of the famous “noble rot”. La Tour Blanche is carefully managed, both in the vineyard (biological pest control, traceability, waste water treatment, etc.) and the cellars (new barrels, temperature control, etc.). The estate perfectly illustrates the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity necessary to making a First Growth.
In light of constraints imposed in the making of Sauternes, La Tour Blanche goes so far as to refuse to sell any wine in certain vintages under the famous château label, with its crenellated tower. La Tour Blanche’s style reflects a perfect balance between concentration and freshness, with a great deal of finesse and elegance. For all of the above reasons, Château La Tour Blanche is fully worthy of its First Growth ranking in the official 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines.
